This is a bushy shrub that can be trained in a handsome small tree. It blooms with canary yellow powder puffs, sweetly fragrant.

Acacia iteaphylla grows best in a well drained sunny position. It is moderately frost tolerant and moderately salt tolerant.

In a garden, where they are often used as informal hedges or in massed beds, all Acalypha species require full sun, well-drained soil, and careful pruning to prevent them from becoming leggy.
